Best Blender on the Market Overview
I’ve chosen some products from the ranges made by Oster, Ninja, Vitamix, Bamix and Hamilton Beach.
The blender you choose should match your needs, for example if you are looking for an immersion blender then look at Bamix, but if making individual smoothies are your thing then consider the Oster MyBlend.
For a good general blender look at the products made by Hamilton Beach and Ninja, for blending jobs like whizzing up soups and smoothies.
Choose the Vitamix for heavy duty blending jobs like ice crushing or making loads of smoothies, soups, ice cream and purees.
Hamilton Beach: Smoothie Makers and Ice Crushers
Hamilton Beach produce a great number of different types of blenders, from small blenders suitable for making individual portions of smoothies to large blenders capable of crushing ice to add to your cocktails. I particularly like the design of the Hamilton Beach personal blender. This can be used to blend fruit smoothies drinks, but the clever thing is the jug then becomes your drinking glass, clever or what!
Ninja Blenders: Small Blenders
Ninja blenders have an excellent reputation for doing a good job, but at a good value for money price.
Included in the range of Ninja Blenders are products suitable for most of the jobs needed in the kitchen. From large jug type blenders for large volumes of soups or smoothies to the smaller master prep series which will fit into the smallest of kitchens.
The Ninja Master Prep Series is unusual as the motor is housed in the workings that fix onto the top of the mixing bowl.
Bamix Blenders: Immersion Blenders
I speak from experience here I own a Swissline Bamix Immersion Blender. I love it. This blender is more powerful than it looks and can whip up smoothies and shakes in no time.
I like the grinder attachment that comes with the blender. In the grinder you can not only chop or puree vegetables, but it will even grind whole spices like cumin or coriander to a fine powder suitable for cooking with.
Vitamix 5200 Deluxe Package
There is no question the Vitamix has a reputation for being one of the best blenders on the market. The motors are said to last a life time, and are built in the USA by a company that is still family owned.
This super duper package comes with cookbooks, get started DVD, 7″ Santoku knife, 4 flexi cutting boards, 3 long handled spatulas and a couple of extra mixing jugs. Looks to me like a package like this will set you up with everything you need to make smoothies, blended soups and purees.
Oster Blender: Ice Crushing and Blending
Oster are another manufacturer to consider when you are deciding what blender to purchase.
The blender come in a wide range of sizes from large jug type blenders for ice crushing to small blenders that make individual smoothies.
My eye is caught by the Beehive Shaped bases of the Oster Classic blenders, these have lovely retro styling that would look great in most kitchens.
